CBSE Class XII results were declared on 13 July 2020. Students, waiting avidly for the results that would indicate what direction their future would take; were both eager and scared. It was only natural that every student and their extended family rushed to the CBSE website as soon as the announcement was made. Also predictably, the site crashed; unable to handle the onslaught of so many simultaneous visitors. Of course, there were those geniuses scoring full marks who also made headlines. One way or another, the meme-makers had a field day.
For many students, the results were a bolt from the blue and they weren't mentally prepared for it.
Class XII results were expected on the 15th but they were announced on the 13th of July.
There were the toppers and even those who managed to score full marks in every subject.
These were the backbenchers or the less-than-high-achieving students who were happy just to have scraped through.
There weren't sure how but they made it through.
…Whose high marks weren't high enough.
Apparently, students no longer fail. Henceforth they will be termed as the ‘essential repeat’ category. PC much?
…Were preparing for the worst.
The CBSE site crashed.
The CBSE website crashed and apparently not for the first time.
It was very frustrating for some; for others, ignorance may have been bliss.
The site administrators had to have expected the rush of visitors. They either couldn’t or didn’t bother to prepare for this.
The site seemed to be jeering at the students.
Students were on tenterhooks since these results have a significant bearing on their future.
This is the time for parents and educators to take care of the emotional wellbeing of students who may be under a lot of pressure.
Relatives, friends and acquaintances of the students are suddenly interested.
Even relatives you didn’t know you had!
Some of those may not have called for ages; you may not even recognise them!
Maybe they secretly just want to know if the results have been bad.
But inevitable!
If the CBSE Class XII results are out, can the Class X results be far behind? Right now, a lakhs of class X students are refreshing the website every few minutes ---- waiting for the other shoe to drop.
