Dubai Airport is known for its empathetic and efficient staff. Instances of the Dubai Airport Staff going out of their way to help the passengers often makes it to the news. Since, their airport staff is considered to be one of the best in the world, it makes sense that their hospitality is shown from the landing-point, that is, the airport itself! A starting-point of sorts!
On March 22nd, a United Arab Emirates’ citizen, Emarat Al Youm, was traveling to his country to get married. He had taken a loan of USD 5000 (around Dh 18,364) for his wedding preparations and had the money in his possession during the travel. However, he got the biggest shock of his life when he went home and realised that he doesn't have the money anymore with him.
He naturally panicked and frantically called the Dubai Airport staff. He informed them about how, upon disembarking the flight, he didn't find the cash. The Dubai Airport staff promised to look into the matter, but gave no definite response. Thus, disheartened, he was about to cancel the wedding, thinking of the worst-case scenario, as the amount lost was quite significant.
Emarat had been planning for his wedding for months and after this loss, had almost cancelled the arrangments. But, then he got an unexpected call from an airport personnel and when the airport staff told him that the lost money has been recovered, his joy knew no bounds.
The Director-General of the Airport Security, Brigadier Ali Bin Lahej said, that the reason why passengers lose their belongings or valuables at the airport or in flights, is due to the stress that accompanies them while traveling, especially for those who travel internationally.
Hats off to the Dubai airport staff, they went out of their way to find the misplaced cash and returned it to the owner.
Their actions definitely spoke louder than words and left one and all impressed!
