Elon Musk is what one may call sui generis – one of a kind. And that isn't just because he is sometimes the richest man in the world or because he smoked pot on live TV or because he can change stock market fortunes with just a tweet. He is quirky for other reasons as well – not only did he send aid to Ukraine, but he also challenged Vladimir Putin to single combat. And now apparently Elon Musk is Elona Musk.
A couple of days ago, Musk issued this challenge to Vladimir Putin and said that the stakes are Україна or Ukraine. He then also addressed a tweet to the Kremlin, asking “Do you agree to this fight?”
Sword fight, boxing match or something else?
While some pointed out that with his training, Putin could probably take on Musk quite easily, this tweet asked Musk to “Go to bed. Let them figure it out.”
The tweet is addressed to Dana White President of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, so obviously this is sarcasm.
Most wars are started by men and some weapons are suggestively phallic in shape, this tweet points out.

Were not amused – with the joke.
Many of the tweeple reminded Musk of Putin’s judo black belt, his military training his experience as a spy.
This is the famous instance where Musk smoked a joint while on TV. So clearly there were people who wanted to know if he was high while making the outrageous challenge.
This is the famous picture of a bare-torso Putin riding a horse. Here the face is replaced with Musk, the body of the horse is replaced by a bear’s and its head is replaced by that of the meme dog. This is objectively funny.
The Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine had this suggestion
Dmitry Rogozin is the chief of the Russian space program and he dismissed Musk as unworthy to fight his leader.
He used the doctored riding-a-bear image and added one of himself with a flame thrower. In his next tweet he said ‘he can even bring his bear’
According to Musk the head of the Chechen Republic offered to train him; mocking him and referring to him as ‘Elona’.
In reply Musk said this – saying the training would give him too much of an advantage and offering to fight with his left hand. He signed the tweet as Elona.
Few people in the world would be stupid courageous enough to challenge a dictator currently in the middle of invading another country… and to keep at it. Evidently, Elon Musk is that stupid courageous or has that bizarre a sense of humour.
