Sri Lanka holds the record of posting the highest total in a World T20 game. They scored 260 for 6 wickets against Kenya in the inaugural edition of the tournament.

Australian fast bowler Brett Lee has the record of having the first hat-trick of wickets taken in World T20. He took these three wickets from the Bangladesh team in the World T20 2007.

Our very own Yuvraj Singh has the record of making the fastest 50 in the World T20. He scored 50 runs off just 12 balls in World T20 2007.
Best bowling figure
The record of best bowling figure in World T20 is held by Sri Lankan spinner Ajantha Mendis. He claimed 6 wickets off just 8 runs against Zimbabwe in the year 2012.
Highest partnership for opening wicket
The record of highest partnership for opening wicket is held by Chris Gayle and Dwayne Smith against South Africa. Together they scored 145 runs for the first wicket partnership.
