Karachi’s anti terrorism court saw some destruction yesterday, after a constable pulled out the pin of a grenade. Why would he do such a self-destructive thing? Good question!
During the course of a hearing, the judge wanted to check the knowledge level of a police constable and asked him whether he knew how to operate hand grenades and other explosives. The constable became belligerent, or maybe he really just didn’t know, and he pulled the pin out which obviously led to an explosion.
Carelessness or ignorance?
Causing injuries to everyone present in the courthouse, the place was put under high alert because outside it was considered as a possible terrorist attack.There was havoc in the entire city after the explosion because people were ignorant of what had happened, how and why. The common people were scared and were panicking.
The Injured
Some reports state that the police constable will be severely punished once he recovers from his injuries. A police constable is expected to be attentive and cognizant of his actions. Such irresponsible and careless behaviour is not expected of any officer of the law. Therefore the court has suspended him.
