Most people do not have generators or inverters. Those that do become very popular at times like these.
Suddenly those who had charged power banks had reason to feel smug.
Some jokesters thought there was an IPL angle to the whole thing.
Of course, the CM of Maharashtra and his ruling coalition also came under fire. Top government functionaries came out with statements about the restoration of electric supply.
Mumbaikars were shocked and unhappy at having no power for a few hours.
The outage brought the electric-powered Mumbai local trains to a halt and some didn’t mind.
Outages aren't that uncommon in some Mumbai suburbs.
Not sure how the visual connects to the power outage situation, but then Kangana Ranaut has a special talent for making everything about herself... even when she herself is in Himachal.
Bollywood has come in for a lot of flak recently for drug use, money laundering, etc. Perhaps there are those who blame the power outage on the dark underbelly or Bollywood as well?
2020 has been a bad year for most of us – the #MumbaiPowerCut added to it the general doom and gloom. What else you got for us, 2020, asked some of the tweeple.
