Everyone is familiar with the image of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan; especially with 2018 being the year of Zayed to mark the 100th anniversary of the founding father of the UAE. The resemblance Hazza Saeed Abdullah Al Kitbi has to him is striking! So who is this Zayed lookalike?
Looking at the striking resemblance, one may think that he is related to Sheikh Zayed, however Hazza Saeed Abdullah Al Kitbi is in no way related to the former ruler.
The resemblance that he has with Sheikh Zayed was noticed about ten years ago. "It is really an honour for me to look like the late founding father Sheikh Zayed who shall always remain alive in our hearts and souls," he told a newspaper. He first became famous when he posted a picture of his on Instagram and received many comments about his likeness to the late ruler.
The Sheikh's lookalike is from Sharjah, where he would often be asked whether he was the grandson of the Sheikh. "If you Google-search 'Sheikh Zayed son', my images will pop out." He was reported as having said.
Al Kitbi is the royal guard of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, who is a member of the supreme council and the ruler of Sharjah.
Al Kitbi will soon be meeting Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. He said he would be apologising to the prince for the Zayed Twin hashtag that became popular because of him.
Inspite of his popularity on Social Media, he said he has never used it to make money and told a newspaper "I have never gone to any restaurant to promote it and earn money as many social influencers do. I go there only to eat and leave as a normal customer".
