We were just getting used to Omicron and the third wave ripping through the population, when we are slammed with the news of some new French variant of the Novel coronavirus. Now while there is one view that this new variant isn't a cause for concern, the other view holds that it is particularly vicious. The tweeple of course had memes for both.
It is called IHU, and some reports say it is even more infectious than Omicron.
I hate you? Actually it is the name of the hospital where it was detected.

After all the previous ones, now this.
Some people are on Twitter for the memes – what they got were French variant and IHU memes.
So here the virus has a nice French-looking moustache, a beret and a baguette – stereotypical, but funny.
Maybe it is in the shape of a croissant, suggests this one.
As expected, the tweeple were on point with the memes about the IHU variant or the French variant.
There are some who say this is not going to be significant because it was first detected in November and hasn’t made that much of an impact yet.
A lot of people seem to think that this variant isn't going to be too dangerous.
I just hope we aren't underestimating something that could blow up in our faces when we least expect.
Tweeple don’t think so.
This is a new disease which is a combination of the flu and the coronavirus and the first case was detected in Israel a few days back.
For whatever vaccine protocol they are required to follow.

I want off the treadmill – this was my thought as I saw the news about the French variant.
This is most of us – just fed up with a pandemic that we thought would blow over soon --- but is now into its third year.
Those of us who expected 2022 to be better are clearly doomed to disappointment.
Who can tell – the coronavirus has just kept surprising us – and not in a good way.
