It isn’t enough that merchandisers have Valentine’s Day to plug flowers and gifts and other needless items. They made a whole week out of it: apparently there is Rose Day, Propose Day, Chocolate Day, Teddy Day, Promise Day, Hug Day and Kiss Day and then Valentine’s Day. So 8 th February was #ProposeDay and the tweeple enjoyed it:
Propose day is when you declare your feelings for someone who will be willing to be your significant other.
Proposals aside, all one can do is question what this person is trying to achieve by assuming such a clearly uncomfortable and strange pose!
Not sure what degree of success this guy would enjoy if he went up to a girl and demanded – hey GF banja.
This guy is wondering whom to propose to – whether it’s because he has too many options or because he has no options at all – is not clear.
A lot of people shared this scene from SRK and Anushka Sharma's Rab ne Bana di Jodi because for them, this sort of grand gesture is as romantic as it gets.
This scene featuring yesteryears actors Raj Kapoor and Vaijanthimala if often presented as an example of the best kind of old-fashioned proposal. I would have a slightly different reaction to a proposition where a guy asked a woman to be the mother of his son – it would certainly not be sitars resonating in the background.
This precocious little kid is obviously echoing the views of some disillusioned married person.
When she says you'll find someone better, she is obviously being kind to the guy who is clearly aiming out of his league.
While some were proposing marriage, others were proposing a less formal relationship. Yet others wanted a purely digital relationship.
Sometimes friends egg people on to declare their feelings, relatives may advice caution. It can be tough to decide whose advice to take.
Sometimes the girl proposes, but God (presumably Bajrangbali) disposes.
In some cases, it isn’t about just the individuals but their entire squads who get involved in a proposal and its response.
Remember this viral video about a mall proposal from a while back? This guy obviously put a lot of thought and effort into his proposal; which did not go as he wanted at all.
Online stores of course took the opportunity to plug their heart shaped pillows and flowers, and rings and other stuff. Because if people are willing to part with their money for the sake of making grand gestures, amazon.in is not going to protest!
