India Runway Week is back in the capital with its 7th edition, which will kick start from September 16th to conclude on September 18th. The program is initiated and promoted by the Indian Federation for Fashion Development (IFFD), and is a direct manifestation of the federation's commitment to establish young talent within the business of fashion.
There are 10 fashion designers in 'new-gen-designer' frame and 8 designers in 'budding-designer' category who are all set to rule the ramp during the Runway week. Needless to say, they are highly promising in their innovative techniques, profitability and marketiblity to take their business to the next levels. These designers are selected from around 300 applications that were submitted to IFFD.
The founder of IFFD, Avinash Pathania, shared the details of the fashion gala excitedly and said, "We are delighted to announce the dates for the upcoming season of IRW. We endeavour to work around a local fashion calendar and we try to avoid clashes with other significant fashion events."
Further, Kiran Kheva, Fashion Director of IFFD, also touched upon various improvements and innovations that have been made in the winter edition of this fashion gala, which is all set to focus the budding talents in the couture industry.
The Runway Fashion week will also provide various designers a great platform to launch their winter festive collection. The founder of IFFD also confirmed that there will be around 18 shows displaying 45 designer collections in this three-day fashion-gala.
A special Khadi collection under the label Rajasthali by Bibi Russell will be showcased in this event. Russell’s line will be made from handspun and handwoven fabric with art and design interwoven to give a modern modern look to the outfits.
