Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, the Crown Prince of Dubai and the Chairman of Dubai Executive Council and his two brothers got married on the 15th of May 2019. The brothers; Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Ahmad bin Mohammed, Chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation got married in a joint ceremony.
The three couples have signed the religious Islamic marriage contract. The wedding ceremony is not yet announced.
The marriages attracted attention not just in the UAE, but worldwide. According to reports, this ceremony is more like an engagement where the couples and their families decide upon the match and agree to it. This is usually a private event only for family. The Surat Al Fatiha is recited at this time. The agreement can be of an indefinite duration, from a few months to a year; or as long as it takes for the couple to get to know each other. This is followed by a formal wedding ceremony at which time, there would be some amount of celebration such as the lighting up of the city and so on.

The good wishes poured in for the couples and their families from all over; from the common folk as well as celebrities such as well-known singer Ahlam Al Shamsi. She congratulated the couples, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum as well as the mothers of the sheikhs H.H. Sheikha Hind bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum.
This auspicious event has taken place during the holy month of Ramadan; the blessed month being the best possible time for the union of two people.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed is very popular with the people of the UAE as well as on social media and is frequently seen alongside visiting sportspersons, celebrities and dignitaries.
There has been a great deal of joy and celebration at the news of the royal weddings of the three Dubai princes; with many expressing their joy and offering the new couples their blessings.
