This Dog and Many Others Took Up the Pushup Challenge

As we have seen over the years, internet challenges have ranged from the truly idiotic to the downright dangerous to the worthwhile.  From time to time we also have some interesting challenges. The pushup challenge is one of the more worthy and useful challenges going around. Lots of people – including a police dog – took up the #PushupChallenge:

The pushup challenge

Pushups are one exercise that can be done anywhere at any time (particularly during the lockdown), without any machines or implements or space requirements. This challenge is aimed at getting more people to do pushups while helping to raise awareness and funds for mental illness.

Taking up the challenge

Many people took up the 21-day challenge to do a certain number of pushups to for their own physical health and for raising awareness about mental health.

Tougher than it looks

Pushups may look simple, but they are difficult to do. It is also important to know a bit about mental health issues, which can lead to physical ill-health, seriously reduced quality of life and even suicide attempts.

Upping the difficulty level

Most people find it difficult to do a regular pushup; much less something that looks as difficult as this.

Fitness goals for others?

Well, maybe this is meant to give others some fitness goals?

People took up the challenge for their squads

Exercise buddies, work colleague, families and groups of friends are coming together to take up the challenge.

Going on and on

This guy is not sticking to the prescribed number of pushups – he wants to do more, apparently.

The motivation

Some people are taking up the challenge to set-off some unwise food choices they may have made.

This pooch took up the challenge too

Police dog Whiskey is seen here taking up the challenge and doing pushups in his own unique way. He seems to be enjoying it.

This other pooch

And here is another doggie who decided to do the pushup challenge; motivating the pet parent here and giving the world yet more evidence – that life is simply better with dogs.
