This Work-From-Home Post by Anand Mahindra Had Lots of Takers

With the coronavirus pandemic affecting practically everyone on earth in some or the other way, we have found new ways to function. We have found new ways to eat, pray and party; we have learned how to cope with isolation and social distancing. We have also learned that it is possible for many of us to work from home and even remain sane! So when Anand Mahindra shared a post about a different kind of ‘person’ working from home, this resonated with a lot of tweeple:

Anand Mahindra’s work-from-home post

The picture of a dog dressed up in a proper suit is really cute. It seems to suggest that a doggie may make a good proxy for their human.

Monday mornings

Mahindra seems to like dogs. This post of his from a couple of days ago about Monday morning blues also seemed to resonate with his followers.

Dogs work as well

There are seeing-eye dogs, tracker dogs, sniffer dogs, watchdogs. This commentator points out that dogs are even able to detect COVID-positive people! So clearly dogs are intelligent and make excellent employees.

This can happen

Dogs make very efficient and reliable workers – this scenario may not be too farfetched.

This is true

Dogs are loving and loyal by nature – this seems to come shining through in this picture, this comment claims.

Dog eat dog world

According to this commentator, one needs to dress the part in this highly competitive world – even if one is a dog.

Recalling work-from-home memes

Recently there have been a lot of people sharing ideas and memes about the pros and cons of working from home.

Looking good

Dogs can often be found to be a part of work from home meetings, webinars and so on. Perhaps this is just an image-conscious pooch.

This question

While others were busy currying favour with Mahindra, the business magnate and Twitter star, others had this inevitable question for someone who employs a lot of Indians. We are, after all, seeing unprecedented unemployment levels right now; not only in the unorganised sector but also the formal economy.

What is next?

Jobs for cats, asks this tweet.

Sharing some wisdom

One of the tweeple tweeted this oft-shared image of the thoughts of the man and his dog; symbolising the importance of living in the present moment and the value of loyalty.  Anand Mahindra’s tweet was a lighthearted joke about working from home; however, dogs will always be able to teach us a valuable lesson or two about determination, constancy and faithfulness.
