Everything Apple CEO Tim Cook (or Tim Apple as the POTUS thinks of him) does and says or has said about him becomes newsworthy. In particular, Apple detractors and Android fans are quick to seize the opportunity one where Apple debuted iPad Air and iPad mini, which work with Apple Pencil stylus. So, when Tim Cook posted a picture on himself using the iPad with a stylus, the reactions were only to be expected.
This tweet by Cook started things off.
A lot of handheld devices have offered stylus operated options for many years now. Apple fans were delighted to finally have the same functionality in their Apple devices as well.
This tweet references the high cost of Apple products; something that the company and Apple product users are commonly mocked for.
Some Twitter users made it a point to speak about the high prices, which according to them were driving down sales of Apple products.
Some deleted the Hello and used the bare white screen to ask questions and make random statements.
“Apple AirPower is a wireless charging mat which will let you wirelessly charge your iPhone XS, Apple Watch Series 3 or 4 and suitably updated AirPods, all at the same time”. This was supposed to come out last year, but clearly it did not.
People are also still waiting for the AirPods 2.
Several really random remarks were made, including this one in really bad handwriting.
Those who follow tech know that there is currently a quarrel ongoing between Spotify and Apple; with Spotify having filed a complaint with the European Commission because of the problems that Spotify has doing business in the iOS App Store.
There was of course the political tweet as well, where this Twitter user pointed out the flaw of the anti-immigrant policies of POTUS.
The stylus will have various uses and some of us will put it to much better use than others.
