Chinese tech giant, Xiaomi recently launched its first laptop Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air. This thin laptop is proving to be quite a competitor to the big brands and has created a stir as far as, value for money is concerned. The laptop is offered at half the price as compared to its competitors and has great specifications as well. Interested, here's what you need to know.
1. Comes in 2 screen sizes
The Mi Notebook Air runs on Windows 10 and is available in two screen sizes - 13.3 inches and 12.5 inches, priced at RMB 4,999 (Cost – Rs. 50,000) and RMB 3,499 (Cost-Rs 35,000) respectively. It includes a special feature that allows users to sync their contacts, text messages, photos and notes to the Mi Cloud.
2. Great for gamers
This laptop can last for 9.5 hours with a single charge and can be recharged up to 50% in just 30 minutes. The 13.3-inch version is great for video game lovers as it comes with a NVIDIA GeForce 940MX dedicated GPU with 1GB GDDR5 RAM. Talking about the hardware specifications, it includes Intel Core i5 CPU (up to 2.7GHz), 8GB of DDR4 RAM and Wi-Fi 802.11ac. Connectivity ports include a USB Type-C port (for charging), 2 USB 3.0 ports, 1 HDMI port and a 3.5mm audio jack.
How does it compare to Macbook Air
Believe it or not, Xiomi Mi Notebook offer much more than Apple MacBook. When we talk about screens both are at par with 13.3 inch display. However, Apple MacBook Air comes with a resolution of 1440x990 and the other comes at 1366x768. However, Xiaomi laptops come with Full HD resolution and this is what Apple can't offer us.
