After winning the district level Subroto Mukherjee Cup Football Tournament (U-17) of Lower Subansiri district by defeating Govt. Hr. Secondary School Ziro 2-0 in the finals, Govt. Hr. Sec. School, Hija is all set to represent the district on the state level.
Time for the underdogs!
The hero of the team became Habung Chilyang, who scored both the goals for Hija and now they are going to represent their own district on the state level for the first time ever. The tournament of Papum Pare district began at Rono Ground, Doimukh and has clearly made an impact on the country by making impossible possible for such small districts.

As the Government of India has increased the exposure of Subroto cup and has plans to take it on an international level, it is expected that teams from such small districts will get to grow a lot. The DDSE Tara is the one who has been encouraging local teams to work harder and achieve what the tournament has in store for them.
