Here Are Some of the Latest and Best IPL 2020 Memes

The yearly cricket carnival aka the IPL is the default viewing option on numerous TVs each evening these days. IPL 2020 being in UAE and being played sans live audiences does not seem to have dimmed its appeal. So here is what is going on with the IPL in memes just ahead of the final league match today (which will decide the fourth team for the playoffs):

Putting an end to the speculation

M S Dhoni may have retired from international cricket, but not from the IPL.

Dhoni is looking forward to the next IPL

He made that very clear when CSK was knocked out of the competition and he was asked whether this would be the last time he would be donning the yellow jersey.

Poor form

Dhoni has been a mere shadow of his former self this IPL, so fans had a lot to say about that.

And while he’s at it

So case you didn’t know, while CSK crashed out of this year's IPL, they took KXIP down with them.

CSKvsKXIP

Though CSK has performed largely below par over this season, the men in yellow seemed to have found some of their missing spark in the later games. They notched up an ultimately meaningless win against KXIP.

#KXIPvRR

This was the 50th game of the IPL and a make or break match for both teams.

Universe Boss

Chris Gayle made a masterful 99 and became the first to hit a thousand sixes in T20 matches.

He still has it

Fans loved it. So, presumably did the team owners.

But these guys...

They had other ideas. Ultimately, Rajasthan Royals beat Kings XI Punjab with 15 balls to spare, thanks in large part to Sanju Samson and Ben Stokes.

#RCBvsDC was an important match

It was important not only for the two teams playing but also for the Kolkata Knight Riders who had (and still have) a chance of making it to the playoffs.

For the star underperformers

Royal Challengers Bangalore has always been a star-studded team that has performed below par. For them, making these playoffs wase very important indeed.

They did it

They seem to have made the playoffs because of a better run rate than KKR though they lost the match.

Finally!

Traditionally, RCB fans don’t have a whole lot to cheer about. Now they do, it seems.

The tables have turned

CSK, always one of the IPL frontrunners in the past is out this time.

What now?

As things stand now, Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore have made it to the playoffs. Some RCB fans are afraid to hope, however.

Last spot still up for grabs

Today will be the last league game between Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad. If MI wins today, RCB will be at the No. 3 spot on the table with KKR at No 4 – SRH is knocked out.

#MIvsSRH

If SRH win today, they will be at the No 3 spot and KKR will be pushed out of the series.

KKR will be rooting for MI

It all goes down to the wire for KKR and SRH this year at the IPL 2020.
