On the one hand we have children of famous Bollywood stars who followed in the footsteps of their parents to achieve moderate to stellar fame. On the other we have star offspring with more optimism than talent who made brave forays into filmdom, only to be met with outright, sometimes cruel rejection.

Who Sinha? I hear you saying. This guy is son of Shatrughan (Khamoshhh!) Sinha and brother to Sonakshi. Apparently he was obsessed with acting since childhood but when he appeared in a film called Sadiyaan in 2010 most of us missed it completely.

He does have more guts than most though; we saw him (or rather didn’t see him) in many films like Jimmy, Enemmy, Tukka Titt, Rocky, Hamilton Palace, He – The Only One etc. Never heard of them? Don’t feel bad, most people haven’t.

Prem Agan to Nowhere
His father Feroz Khan was a star because he was suave, stylish, good looking and persistent. Alas, Fardeen Khan was only persistent. We saw him repeatedly after his debut film Prem Aggan and many other films out of sheer persistence. Then of course we saw him repeatedly because of the drug related charges he faced and was later absolved of.

Chip Off the Old Block?
This guy is famous mostly for his alleged role in the sad suicide of the troubled Jiah Khan. If media accounts are to be believed, he covered up his role in the infamous suicide to save his career…save what career? And whose footsteps was he thinking of following? His father isn’t even much of a ‘star’!

Dara Singh’s Son
What a pity this son of strongman Dara Singh never thought to undergo some dental treatment. Though let’s face it, that may not have helped his cinematic fortunes. When he isn’t doing side roles in fairly forgettable films like Son of Sardar, Himmatwala, Love Yoou Soniye (you get the idea), he is being implicated in spot fixing scams.
