I often have problems with passwords – there are too many, it is difficult to remember and keep track of them. When it comes to setting passwords as well, there are problems – the system can get really officious telling me what my password should be. So this thread about ‘weak passwords’ on Twitter really resonated – we can all identify, I think.
Also, if I want to keep my password weak, what is your problem! This is the feeling most of us get, right?
So is my memory! True for so many of us!
All the do’s and don’ts can be really irritating.
Passwords are supposed to be secret, right? So how does the system know what it is, joked some of the tweeple.
It resonated with so many who sit with our phones, laptops and desktops, frustrated with our passwords and the system’s insistence upon making those passwords strong.
And only so much bandwidth!
Why would you tell me this and increase overall stress levels?
Yes, yes, I know a strong password is for my own good, but it’s a grocery shopping app, for heaven’s sake! And I don’t even have any financial details saved in there.
The ‘suggested password’ which assumes we all have eidetic memories or something. Which normal human can remember that!
Like this?
Why? Why? Why? It’s just a login to my own computer! It wasn’t even me, the computer engineer put in that login step.
Aren't passwords supposed to be secure? So how does it know about my other passwords? And if it can do that, what really is the point of having a ‘strong’ password!
Of course someone had to make it.
They say make a strong password and we do. And then we forget – obviously!
Having to remember – and inevitably forgetting all those passwords, is stressful.
This happens too: wrong password, but also the correct one it seems.
And I don’t care who knows it, said this Twitter user.
Most people on that weak password thread were like – mind your own business bot!
