On Sunday, September 18, 2016 all of us got a rude shock. The news of 17 soliders of the Indian Army being martyred and over 19 security personnel being injured, in the Uri fidayeen attack, resulted in angry reactions from India and the rest of the world.
But this video of an Indian solider singing a popular patriotic poem is all over the Internet. The solider recites, Kashmir to hoga, lekin pakistan nahi hoga‘, daring to say out loud that which resides within our hearts. Watch this video and the undying zeal of their patriotism.
This is a poem made popular by Sadhvi Balika Saraswati, who is a young leader and prime speaker of the VHP (Vishwa Hindu Parishad). It is not ascertained whether this video was shot after the attack or before, however the file was shared on YouTube recently and went viral after the Uri attacks.
The strong lines of the poem are targeted towards Pakistan the forever on-going and baseless battle over Kashmir.
‘Siyar bhediye se dar sakti singhon ki aulad nahi, bharat vansh ki is paani ki hai tumko pehchan nahi‘. This is just one line from the poem and yet it just settles right into our hearts.
