Kapil Sharma rose to fame after winning 'The Great Indian Laughter Challenge' in 2007, for which he won Rs.10 lakh as the prize money. There is no doubt that he has now become a superstar of Indian TV and it's not just by chance that he achieved this status. He had to really work hard for it.
In these 10 years, he has made himself a brand with all his hard work. After winning 'The Great Indian Laughter Challenge', he participated in 'Comedy Circus' and won six seasons of the show.
In 2013, he started his own show 'Comedy Nights with Kapil', under his banner K9 Productions on Colors and became a household name. Although, there were many characters in his show which were equally popular, but the truth is people remember them for being a part of Kapil Sharma's team.
On the same show, he adopted Zanjeer, the labrador, who retired from Mumbai Police and was homeless. This was a great decision on his part, which actually showed everyone that he has a soft corner for animals and got his humane image to the forefront.
When he was establishing himself on TV, he participated in PM Modi’s 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan' and encouraged many people to participate for this good cause. It helped him get on the VIP list and simultaneously developed his corporate social responsibility.
In his life, he never gave up on trying things. He tried everything in his power to reach this height. When his show Comedy Nights With Kapil faced difficulty and he was driven out from the show, he bagged another show on Sony. All his fans were so happy to see their favorite comedian making a come back.
