In 2006, he announced his retirement from Test cricket so that he could concentrate on ODIs, but later in 2010 he was made the Test captain of the Pakistan team, and after just a single match, he again quit.
Javed Miandad - He is a former Pakistani cricketer, who is popularly known for his last ball big six against India in 1986, when only 4 runs were required to win. He took the retirement for a very short period of time, and made his comeback merely after a few days of his retirement.
Grant Flower - In 2004 he announced his retirement from international cricket due to the dispute between the rebels and the Zimbabwe Cricket Union, but made his comeback in 2010 only to take final retirement.
Carl Hooper - The former West Indies cricketer took the retirement after the 1999 World Cup, but made a surprising comeback in 2001.
Imran Khan - The former Pakistani cricketer, who was known for his smart game in the fields, took the retirement after the 1987 World Cup, but made a comeback on then President Zia Ul Haq’s request and led the team to win their one and only world cup.
Kevin Pietersen - Who is one of the most popular English batsmen in International cricket, took the retirement due to some issues with the ECB and his teammates, but later in 2012 he withdrew his retirement during the South Africa series.
