Kiara Advani was born as Alia Advani in Mumbai. Her father Jagdeep Advani is a businessman and mother Genevieve Jaffrey is in teaching profession.

She made her Bollywood debut in 2014 with a comedy drama film, 'Fugly' opposite Mohit Marwah, Vijender Singh, Arfi Lamba and Jimmy Shergill.

Before pursuing a career in film, she completed two short courses in acting. One each at Anupam Kher's school of acting and Roshan Taneja's institute.

Apparently, Kiara's family is pretty close to Salman and he has been mentoring her for quite some time.
