Recently, Hrithik Roshan starrer movie 'Mohenjo Daro' was released in the theaters and we found some similarities between the movies Mohenjo Daro and Lagaan that we can't ignore. However, there is no comparison between the two, but still there are a few things that everyone needs to know about.
If you have already watched the movie, then you may have found that both the films 'Lagaan' and 'Mohenjo Daro' were shot in quite similar locations. Well, this is actually true as both the movies were shot in Bhuj, Gujarat.
Well, both the movies have been directed by Ashutosh Gowariker and interestingly 'Lagaan' and 'Mohenjo Daro' are the second movies for both the actors Aamir Khan and Hrithik Roshan with director Ashutosh Gowariker.
In 'Lagaan', Ashutosh Gowariker introduces Gracy Singh on the big screen for the first time, while in this movie he again introduced a new debutante and beautiful actress, Pooja Hegde.
In Lagaan movie, Aamir Khan was seen portraying the role of a farmer and in this movie also, Hrithik Roshan has been portraying the role of an Indigo farmer.
And Mohenjo Daro was recently screened as the closing film in the 69th edition of the Locarno Film Festival, which was held in Switzerland from August 3 to August 13. However, you will be glad to know that 'Lagaan' was the first Indian film which was screened there in 2001.
