Have you ever wondered what these temporary white marks on your nails actually mean? Some of you might be wondering, it is due to calcium deficiency, but guess what, you are wrong.
According to a science related YouTube Channel Sci Show, these are milk spots which appear when the nail bed forms damaged cells after it experiences a knock.
These spots usually move up and disappear after a point of time as the nail grows. While in some cases, it may be an indication of a fungal nail infection or even feverish illness.
Also, if you are experiencing these white lines running parallel to your nail bed on all your nails, it could be a case of lead poisoning.
Therefore, it is certainly not a sign of Calcium deficiency.
