Neerja Bhanot's Family Requests Honour and Respect Only

"Neerja", is a biopic on Neerja Bhanot, a flight attendant from Pan Am, who was murdered while saving passengers from terrorists on board the hijacked Pan Am Flight 73 in September 1986.
As per reports, her family who is based out of Chandigarh, did not charge even a single penny for the rights to the story.
When the makers met Neerja's mother and her brothers to discuss the idea of making a film on the late flight attendant's life, their only request was to keep her honour and respect intact throughout the movie.
The films director, Ram Mahvani said, "We are all touched by Neerja's family's gesture (of not asking for any money). We have all given more than our 100 per cent to live up to their expectations and do full justice to Neerja's story".
The film will see Sonam Kapoor playing the role of Neerja Bhanot and is scheduled for a 19th February release.
