It’s been a crazy, crazy academic year for kids. After all the will-they-won’t-they from CBSE kept kids on tenterhooks for weeks, board exams were finally cancelled. Some students were delighted, some much less so. Now the exam results are to be declared but students and their families still seem to be in the dark. Here’s what the official handle of CBSE HQ said and what others are saying about #CBSEResults:
CBSE students of classes X and XII have been waiting for a long time. The Supreme Court directed the release of results by the end of July.
There were reports of possible announcements but they came to naught.
Students have been waiting for a long time – first preparing for exams that were ultimately cancelled and now for results to be announced.
Stay calm and hopeful they advised parents – while still not giving a firm date for the results and also told them not to be a minimum parent. It was an attempt at humour that fell rather flat.
Most reactions to the tweet were either angry or sarcastic tweets using similar Family Man templates like this.
People thought that the CBSE tweet was quite tone deaf and insensitive towards people who are worried and unsure.
Using another popular meme template, the official CBSE handle tweeted that #CBSEresults would be announced at 2 PM on 30 July 2021.
CBSE had some quite unnecessary suggestions for students, who have already been waiting in readiness for a long time.
That is this new, flippant, wannabe funny avatar of the CBSE, people wanted to know.
There are those who are afraid their results will not reflect the hard work they’ve put in
There are also those who are afraid their results will reflect their efforts.
Friends, relatives and neighbours one hasn’t spoken to in years will suddenly surface.
They are suddenly very interested and want to know all about results, future plans, everything!
Students are fairly certain that this will happen
The server cannot take the load of so many students logging in. This year it’s going to be X and XII #CBSEResults declared together. It won’t be pretty.
