We Indians are quite inventive in the way that we modify and tailor ideas and products to our own liking and requirements. Take our Indian jugaad for instance – economical and effective homegrown solutions for a range of issues. The latest in the range of cheap and cheerful Indian alternatives is Desi Ironman; dubbed ‘sasta’ Ironman by the tweeple.
Various contraptions are strapped on to this guy; there appears to be firepower of some sort. He clearly has difficulty even walking; the ease of flight that the fictitious Ironman is supposed to possess clearly remains outside the realm of possibility.
There were many who were very appreciative of the man's efforts; particularly the ‘gun’ that can ‘fire’.
Many felt that this is a worthy effort – all great inventions have to start somewhere.
This commentator feels that such people should receive incentives and encouragement from the government.
This Twitter user decided to quibble about who exactly the dude resembles more.
The various items strapped on to the individual and his highly impractical footwear would mean that desi Ironman would be of little help to any situation and would likely be shot down, feels this Twitter user.
The guy doesn’t look like a saviour as much as a someone far more threatening, feels this commentator.

Leaving aside the shortcomings of the ‘suit’ this commentator points out how the poor guy flinches each time he ‘fires’.
This commentator suggests that this is not the first time someone had an idea like this.
