Her name is Tanvi Ganesh Lonkar and she received the 15th Screen Actors Guild Award for 'Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture' for her role in this movie.

She lives in Goregaon, Mumbai with her parents and a younger sister and studied in Dr.S.Radhakrishnan Vidhyalaya.

Her mother Sharmila works as a technician in Hinduja Hospital while her father Ganesh works with the Union Bank of India.

After Slumdog Millionaire, she worked in a couple of regional Indian films like, a Kannada flim 'Teenage' and a Tamil film 'Vidayutham'.
