Do you remember Amit Sana from Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, the first runner up of Indian Idol season 1? He might not have won the season but he won millions of hearts with his voice.
This show was aired in 2005 and he was a strong competitor for Abhijeet Sawant who was declared as the first Indian Idol. It has been 12 years since then, and he has been missing in action for a long time.
Despite earning so much popularity with this show and getting some good projects, his singing career didn't really take off. But, with sheer hard work and determination, he managed to sign some stage shows in India as well as in other countries. These shows helped him get back on track.
According to him, he faced a lot of difficulty in getting a good project. The most difficult phase for him was when he was without any work. He didn't give up and continued working hard.
In 2010, he tried his hand in composing songs as well. But soon took a break from it because it was a little difficult for him to understand the taste of the audience and his singing practice was also getting affected. He then decided to concentrate only on singing.
He is a married man now. He tied the knot with Manisha Sana in 2012, who is an interior designer by profession.
He wants to use music for social causes and as per some reports, he is now all set to become a successful playback singer.
