He is one of the best actors of our industry, who is mostly known for his villainous roles in the movies like 'Sooryavansham', 'Lal Baadshah', 'Bandhan', and 'Judwaa'.
He made his debut with Telugu films as a villain and has established himself as a leading actor down south. He got his first break in Tollywood in 1988 and later made his Bollywood debut with the movie, 'The Sword of Tipu Sultan', but came into limelight with his role in 'Ghayal', starring Sunny Deol.
Then he went on to play the villain in most of the Bollywood movies like 'Bhishma', 'Loafer', 'Ghatak', 'Judwaa', 'Bandhan', 'Lal Baadshah' and many more.
However, he did his last Bollywood movie in 2014, 'Ek Tha Sardar'. But, he never stopped to give appearances in the Tamil movies.
Recently, he appeared in the 2016 Telugu movie 'Sardaar Gabbar Singh' as Hari Narayana, which also stars Kajal Aggarwal and Sharad Kelkar in the lead roles.
While in 2017, he appeared in a Telugu action drama film called 'Winner', starring Sai Dharam Tej, Rakul Preet Singh and Jagapati Babu in the lead roles.
