How many of you really remember the actress Rakhee Gulzar, who played the role of Karan and Arjun's mother in the blockbuster movie Karan Arjun?
It has been almost 21 years now, when this movie was released. She became a household name after playing this iconic role with her dialogue "Mere Karan Arjun Aayenge".
She made her acting debut in 1967 with a Bengali film 'Badhu Baran', after which she made her Bollywood debut in 1970 film 'Jeevan Mrityu' with Dharmendra.
She has played many iconic roles in the Bollywood movies like 'Kabhie Kabhie', 'Muqaddar Ka Sikander', 'Ram Lakhan', 'Khalnayak' and many more.
She made her last movie in 2003, 'Shubho Mahurat' for which she won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress. She is now 69-year old lady and has a daughter named Meghna Gulzar, with the director, poet and lyricist Gulzar.
They got separated when Meghna was only one year old. Now, she is mostly known for her social work and lives in the Panvel farmhouse on Mumbai outskirts.
